We must do our best; we should not turn our head back. Because no one nowadays can say "I do not care, it has nothing to do with me." Giving up to understand on purpose is a mistake because human beings are all connected, even in case of disaster. Indeed the need of positive values is reinforced; we have to be protagonist in everyday life.
We make one thing clear: 'the other half of the sky', the women, we have to know it in order to live without alibis. Especially when women are easily labelled just in order to fix social stereotypes. I can't stop learning, sharing experiences, gathering opinions. Thus after "Crosswords", my first book, I have written "Pink rays of light', a collection of interviews with women who were able to give a significant contribution to their lives and to the people around them.
Patches of pink light, intense, like sonar. This volume is inviting as it is a basket of cherries: fruits apparently all alike, in fact, each with its own specific characteristics. In fact, the varieties of cherries are rich and the colour varies from pale pink to bright red. It 's a delicate stone fruit, which is hard to resist. Just like women who combine femininity with intelligence and intensity. I think that these interviews are filled with passion, beliefs, ideas, imagination, intuition, irony. Talking to them is useful to see under a different light even the most complex and often contradictory feature of our competitive society.
Every interview is provocative and a stimulus to better understand our reality, since women often split their lives between family and work, thus achieving physical and emotional balance sometimes requires great efforts.

Crosswords. (Parole Incrociate)
Stories of people who have made it.
“Crosswords” is my first book and it's surprising because I'm a businesswoman, not a journalist, even though I have done it successfully for period. On 29th July, the day my sweet baby boy Massimiliano was born, I was brought seven hand-painted tiles that would constitute the first collection of Decoratori Bassanesi, the firm I have established with Paolo Serraiotto starting from scratch with great effort.
Afterwards we have established other firms and we have achieved the goal of all businessmen, to make their brand known all over the world, besides being proud of an every inch Italian product. "Every inch means that my firm takes good care of every single item we produce”. Life is weird and I have started writing stories I used to read before, to understand the world around me. In my life I have met many people and this volume is the result of my encounters. I was lucky I have met wonderful personalities. Some of them helped me and gave me food for thought.
I dedicate “Crosswords” to my son Massi and to the young people who want to realize their dreams. They are young talented people who symbolize the future. But they need good guides to build it. Maybe my book will help them.
